The underlying equation you want to use to solve here is that
Total Earnings – Normal Earnings = Extra Earnings
$650 – $500 = $150
From there then you can divide by the hourly rate to figure out how many extra hours that he worked
$150 / $10/hour = 15 hours
Meaning Bill worked 15 extra hours in May
