2 pounds of peaches cost $4.50 5 pounds cost $11.25 and 10 pounds cost $22.50 show that the relationship between the numbers of pounds of peaches and the cost is a proportional relationship write an equation for the relationship. I've got the equation but now I have to slove it that's were I need help.

The ordered pairs are

(2, 4.50)

(5. 11.25)

(10, 22.50)

slope m=(11.25 - 4.50)/(5-2) = 6.75/3 = 2.25

slope m=(22.50 - 11.25)/*10-5) = 11.25/5 = 2.25

the slope m=2.25

Remember (x=2, y=4.50)

B - y - mx = 4.50 - (2.25)(2) = 4.50 - 4.50 = 0

y = 2.25x

Cost = $2.25 * w where w is the weight in pounds
