what is 28=w(w+3)

I have to find the possible dimensions of 28 square foot garden if the width is 3 feet shorter than the length, and I have to find if the solutions are reasonable answers. When I put it into an equation I get 28=w(w+3)

w^2 + 3w = 28

w^2 + 3w - 28 = 0

(w + 7)(w - 4) = 0

w + 7 = 0 or w - 4 = 0

w = -7, illogical answer

w = 4 feet

w + 3 = 7 feet
