I sold 125 candy bars and chocolate covered almonds for a fundraiser.

Each Candy cost $1.50 and chocolate covered almonds cost $2.50 per box. How much did I sell if I made $234.50

c + n = 125, n = 125 - c

1.50(c) + 2.50(n) = 234.50

Substitute:

1.50(c) + 2.50(125 - c) = 234.50

Distribute and solve for c.

Since c + n = 125, then solve for n.
