88.5 = 87 +85+80 +83+84+x / 6

88.5 = 419 + x / 6

88.5 * 6 = 419 +x

531 = 419+x

531-419 = x

112 =x

for finding median we have to write numbers in order

80,83,84,85,87,112

middle numbers are =84 and 85

median = 84+85 / 2 = 169/2 =84.5
