For a square the perimeter is P = 4s where s = length of one side, for a rectangle P = 2L + 2W,
where L = length and W = width.
- P = 4s = 4 x 22 = 88 m
- P = 4s = 4 x 20 = 80 m
- If we drew a line down the center of the inner square, that would result in a rectangle with length and width 20 and 10 m:
P = 2L + 2W = 2 x 20 + 2 x 10 = 40 + 20 = 60
