Is your question supposed to read, "How do you solve that"?
It appears that you should be solving a linear system.
2x - 3y = 8
Multiply both sides of this equation by 2 and add it to the next equation.
4x - 6y = 16
-4x + 5y = -10
-y = 6
y = -6
2x - 3(-6) = 8
2x + 18 = 8
2x = -10
x = -5
(-5,-6)
