Find the speed of the two drivers.

Charlie and Violet met for lunch at a restuarant between their two locations (exactly in the middle). It took Charlie 2.5 hours to get there, but it only took Violet two hours beacuse she was driving 15 mph faster than Charlie. The distance between the two of them intially was 300 miles.

D=v*t Vi. Violet Victor speed 300=2.5Vi + 2(15+Vi) 300=2.5Vi + 30 + 2Vi 270 =4.5Vi 60mi/hr, Violet drive So in 2.5, violet travels 150mile Since Charlie drive 15mi/hr faster than violet, its speed is 15 + 60 = 75mi/hr So in 2hr, Charlie travel 2 × 75 = 150 So both meet in the middle.
