Let x = the smallest number

Let x + 2 = the next consecutive number

Let x + 4 =  the next consecutive number

Let x + 6 =  the largest consecutive number

x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 36

4x + 12 = 36

4x = 24

x = 6

x + 2 = 8

x + 4 = 10

x + 6 = 12

6² + 8² + 10² + 12² = 36 + 64 + 100 + 144 = 344
