One way of solving this kind of equation is by considering that : ax+b = cx+d amounts to x = (d-b)/(a-c). Let's solve 12x+5 = 4x-2. 👆👆 Here : a = 12, b=5, c=4 and d = -2. This amounts to x=(-2-5)/(12-4) x= -7/8 S={-7/8} Sorry for my poor English, that's because I am French. Hope you got it!03/25/19
