The slope of a line is "rise over run" or "the change in y over the change in x" or
y2 - y1
---------
x2 - x1
So your two points (-1,-5), this would be your (x1, y1) and
your point (4,5) this would be your (x2, y2)
So y2-y1 = 5 - (-5) = 5 + 5 = 10
and x2-x1 = 4 - (-1) = 4 + 1 = 5
y2-y1 10
------- = --------
x2-x1 5
So the slope is 10/5 = 2
