To find the slope and y-intercept you need to rewrite the equation in the form
y = mx + b
5x - 2y= 8
2y = 5x - 8
y = (5/2)x - 4
m = 5/2 and b = -4
The y intercept is the point where x = 0 , so (0,-4)
Slope is 5/2
