“a wire 27ft long is cut into two.pieces each pieces is bent jnto the shape of a square. the perimeter of the larger sqaure of the smaller sqaure. find the perimeter of the larger square” please help

means 4S+4s = 27 where S is a side of the larger square and s is a side of the smaller square

4S is the perimeter of the larger square

and 4s= 27-4S is the perimeter of the smaller square

4(S+s)=27

S+s = 27/4 = 6 3/4

s=6 3/4 - S

IF S were 6 then s=3/4 foot, with larger perimeter =24 and smaller = 3 feet

IF S were 5 then s=1 3/4, with larger perimeter = 20 and smaller = 7

27/8 < S < 27/4 = 6 3/4 feet for the larger square's side

0< s < 27/8 = 3 3/8 feet for the smaller square's side

the larger square is somewhere between 3 3/8 ft by 3 3/8 ft and 6 3/4 by 6 3/4

the smaller square is somewhere between 0 x 0 and 3 3/8 by 3 3/8 feet
