To be honest with you guys, I don't really know how to find the perimeter and area of a cross section formed.

I can figure out the solid formed in the cross section but I need help on finding Perimeter and Area.

A) Find the perimeter and area of the cross section formed by the cut

The front face is 30 x 22.

The base is 30 x 18,

The two sides a right triangles, base 18 and height 22.

 

From that you should be able to derive perimeter and surface area.
