-1/(3 - √5) = -1(3 + √5)/[(3 - √5)(3 + √5) = -1(3 + √5)/(9 - 5) = (-1/4)(3 + √5)

-1/(3 - √5) = ?
Multiply numerator and denominator by 3 + √5 and get
-1/(3 - √5) = -(3 + √5) / (32 - 5) = ?
You can finish from here.
