A plastic storage container shaped like a rectangular prism has a base which is 70 cm long and 30 cm wide. The container is 50 cm high and has no lid. Calculate the amount of plastic needed to manufacture this box.

You have the base that is 70 x 30 = 2100 cm².

 

You have two sides that are 70 × 50 and two sides that are 30 x 50.
