Suppose you have a sequence that begins {2, 5, 10, 17}. Give the next 3 numbers in your sequence. Use a positional definition to define your sequence.

The sequence -6, -10, -14, -18,... is arithmetic with common difference -4. So, nth term = (first term) + (n-1)(-4) = -4n - 2.
