Can anyone help me with my math homework, it is my summer holiday homework and it is really hard. I'm in seventh grade.

Set up an equation from the sentence

 

5x = 3x + 4

 

subtract 3x from both sides

 

2x = 4

 

divide both sides by 2

 

x = 2

 

the number = 2
