the frog goes up 1 foot each day (3 feet - 2 feet)
on the second day it is 1 foot higher
on the third day it is 2 feet higher
on the fourth day it is 3 feet higher
on the fifth day it is 4 feet higher
Continuing in this way we cab say
on the 18th day it is 17 feet higher and has 3 feet to go to reach 20 feet.
The frog then climbs 3 feet and reaches the top
So the answer is 18 days.
The answer is not 20 days because the frog reaches the top before it slips back 2 feet like it did all others days before.
