Find the prime factorization for 84. Start by dividing by 2 since 84 is an even number. 2x42=84, next 2x6x7=84, next 2x2x3x7=84. You have now found all the prime factors of 84. Look at some multiples of 2, 3, or 7 to find numbers that add up to -54. ans. -12 + -42 = -54
ans. -12 + -28 + -14 = -54
(Make sure that any numbers you choose that add up to -54, have to also be divisible by 2, 3, or 7.)
