Interval notation uses parentheses () for exclusive sets >< and brackets [] for inclusive sets ≤≥. You would write the solution in interval notation by either choosing () or []. Let's say you have two numbers a & b and a<x<b, then to write in interval notation, you would write (a,b). If a ≥x ≥b then, [b,a]. The lowest number is always written on the left in interval notation.
