Creating Piecewise Functions

Question

A department store offers store credit, but has the following rules:

• for a bill less than $35 the entire amount is due,
• for a bill at least $35 but less than $75, the minimum due is $35,
• for a bill at least $75 but less than $150, the minimum due is $50, and
• for a bill of $150 or more, a minimum of 35% of the bill is due.

Write a piecewise function f(x) for the minimum amount due for the amount of the bill, x.
