Let (-2,-5) be a point on the terminal side of θ (Theta)

Find the exact values of cos θ, csc θ, and tan θ.

tan θ=5/2.

now use 1 + tan²θ = sec²θ to solve for cosine, bearing in mind that the cosine must be negative in the third quadrant.

 

then use the basic Pythagorean identity to calculate sine (it too must be negative). Capisce?
