Step 1: Take everything out of parentheses; To do that multiply -2 with -6m and -6;
-m+12m+12=89
Step 2: Group all variables in one side and numbers on the other; Remember to change signs when changing sides
-m+12m=89-12
11m=77
Step 3: Solve for the unknown variable (m); To do that divide both sides by 11 because you want the unknown to be alone with no coefficient in front of it.
m=77/11=7
