Find the equation of the perpendicular line passing through the midpoint of the line segment connecting (−2, 5) and (7, −3)

midpoint: ((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2)
x = (-2+7)/2 = 5/2 or 2 1/2
y = (5-3)/2 = 1
Midpoint: (5/2, 1).  ...  not (4 1/2, 4)

y - 1 = (9/8)(x - 5/2)
y - 1 = (9/8)x - 45/16
y = (9/8)x - 29/16
