Why do people go to school.Is it really necessary thing for us to do go to this?

Why do people go to school?We can all live as illiterate people and go our way ?There is no apparent reason why we should go

 to school,I believe school should not be a huge thing as it is

OK, let's think about what your life would be like without school.

 

Could you do the following:

Fill out a job application.

Balance a check book. 

Read instructions.

Drive a car or even get a driver's license.

Obtain a job that pays above min wage.

Join the military if desired.

Purchase a house, a car, or get a loan or even rent an apartment.

Shop intelligently for anything.

Travel on a plane, bus or ship or use mass transit.

Read and understand a book.

Use a computer.

Ask an intelligent question, give an intelligent answer, carry on an intelligent conversation.

Need I go on?

     Another curious question is why do so many students think that school is a waste of time? People have been learning this material for years.....centuries. Our government thinks all students are capable of learning this material. Were our ancestors wrong? Is our government wrong? What types of plans do you have for yourself? How will you afford a car, a wife, ahouse or apartment? How do even find out what your interests are without trying a little bit of everything?

     I used to live in Honduras and met many people in little villages who lived off the land, still hunting and fishing and growing their own crops. A very hard life, but very simple compared with the society in the USA. AND, they were very content. They made huts with no floors, no plumbing, no running water, no electricity.......no modern conveniences. The point is, they have no education and they have no other options but to survive.

     So I guess my point is that education is not a requirement for life, but are you prepared for the life that your lack of education will bring you? Make sure you have a PLAN on how you will become a success and an independent being in your future.
