The ratio of iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3) to aluminum is 1:2. The ratio of iron(III) oxide to aluminum oxide is 1:1 and the ratio of iron(III) oxide to iron is 1:2.
This is a redox reaction. Aluminum (Al) is oxidized to Al3+ and iron (Fe) is reduced from Fe3+ to Fe.
