Quadratic equation:

 

Profit = revenue - cost

 

Profit = 100x - 0.5x² - (30x + 600)

 

Profit = 100x - 0.5x² - 30x - 600

 

Combine terms and rearrange:

 

Profit = -0.5x² + 70x - 600
