There are 28 students in a class and 3 are left handed. I'm the whole school there are 1250 students how many are left handed?

This question was a part of my test and I don't understand it. I think it might be sampling but I am not sure

I think that the ratio of LH students to students, in your class, namely 3/28, is to be applied to the entire population of 1250 students.

In other words, estimate this answer by multiplying 1250 by (3/8). Round up to the nearest whole number. Don't be afraid to use a calculator.
