2(x+4)-3(x)=32 heat does x equal?

Question

I got -24 but when i checked it it was wrong help!!!

2(x + 4) - 3(x) = 32

2x + 8 - 3x = 32

-x + 8 = 32

-x = 24

x = -24

 

Either we both are wrong or where ever you checked is wrong@
