A designer is drawing a scale model of a living room. The scale is such that1/4" on the plan represents 1 foot  in the living room. If the sofa is 6' 8" long, how long is it on the plan

1/4:12=x:80

convert everything to inches

1/4(80)=12x

20=12x

x=1 2/3 feet or 20 inches
