You probably mean the line through the point (2,7) and either parallel or perpendicular to y=x-2?
if parallel, the line is y=x+b where b= the y intercept found by plugging the point into that equation to get
7=2+b. b =5
then the parallel line through the point is y=x+5
if perpendicular, y=-x+b, plug in the point to get 7=-2+b or b =9
the perpendicular line is y=-x+9
parallel lines have the same slope. Perpendicular lines have the negative inverse as the slope
negative inverse of 1 is -1
