A triangle has two equal smaller angles and a larger angle which is 60 degrees more than the size of the smaller angles. What are the sizes of the three angles?

For any triangle, the sum of the interior angles is 180″.  

 

Let x = degree measure of each of the two smaller angles.

 

Then x+60″ = degree measure of the other angle

 

So, x+x+x+60 = 180

 

           3x+60 = 180

 

                 3x = 120

 

                   x = 40

 

The angles have measures 40″, 40″, and 100″.
