Begin, as always in a 'word' problem, by defining a variable. Let's let w = width; then length is 25+w, right?
Area is length times width = w(w+25) = 10350.
I believe that this gives you a quadratic equation.
The usual procedure will be to distribute and rewrite it with all terms on the left side, and this = 0 on the right side.
You should try factoring as a technique to solve. If that's too puzzling, use the Quadratic formula.
If you get two answers but one of them is negative, discard that negative w value.
