Amber H.

I am not sure how to type it on here, its the -b+/-(squareroot)b2-4ac (all of that) divided by(or over) 2a

I also need to correct the second part of my equation, you cannot have a squareroot of a negative that goes into imaginary numbers. (-12) should be 12i which i=-1 so then it would be just 12. (inserted where above I had -12.

What you have is the equation to start with, but it isn't the quadratic FORMULA which you have to solve it.  You can either factor it (for example)  (x+4)  (x-3) =using FOIL  x2 +7x+12 or if you cannot factor it you use the quadratic equation from earlier.  Which I cannot find a good way to copy and paste it.  I hope I have helped you in some way.
