First you need to use the slope formula to find the slope between the two points.
y2-y1/x2-x1
So...
-6-3/-3-9 = -9/-12 = 3/4
Now you need to use the point slope equation to solve for the equation where 'm' is the slope. You can use either one of the points given for this equation:
y-y1=m(x-x1)
(y-3)=3/4(x-9)
distribute the slope through the parentheses
(y-3)=3/4x-27/4
+3 +3
y=3/4x-15/4 or y=3/4x-3.75
