Hi Dilan,
If your teacher didn't give you specific instructions, you could ask the teacher. Most teachers are glad to help.
Here are a few tips I can offer:
- At the beginning of your summary include the poet's name and the title of the poem.
- Briefly describe what the poem is about, and what you think the poet is trying to communicate. (Remember that poems use figurative language.)
- Use proper English rules. Sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period (or question mark, etc.). The word "I" is always capitalized. Apostrophes are used for conjunctions (such as don't, can't, you've, etc.)
