4a + 29 = 4 a + 20 sqrt(a) + 25 <-- squaring both sides; right side get FOILed
4a + 29 - 4a - 25 = 20 sqrt(a) <-- moves everything to the left except the square root
4 = 20 sqrt(a) <---- combines like terms; 4a cancels
4/20 = sqrt(a) <-- solves for square root
1/5 = sqrt(a)
a = 1/25
check:
LHS: sqrt(4/25 + 29 ) = sqrt ( 729/25) = 27/5 = 5.4
RHS: 2 sqrt(1/25) + 5 = 2(1/5) + 5 = 5.5
