Hi Lauren, the √((128x9y16)/(16z2y)) can be broken into three parts, the coefficients, the x terms, and the y terms.
coefficients:
128/16 = 8
√8 = √(22 * 2), or 2√2
x terms:
x9/x2 = x7
√x7 = √((x3)2 * x), or x3√x
y terms:
y16/y = y15
√y15 = √((y7)2 * y), or y7√y
Now put them all back together:
2x3y7√(2xy)
