A semicircle is one-half of a circle and has an area that is one-half of the area of a circle. Find the cost of fertilizing a playing field at $0.30 per square yard when the rectangular part of the field is 130 yd long and the diameter of each semicircle is 80 yd. Use pi equals≈3.14. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

area = 130 x 80 = 10,400 yd^2 + pi(40^2) = 10400 + 3.14(1600)
= 10,400 + 5,024 = 15,424 yd^2 total
