Answer 1

y=2x² +3

 

switch x and y

 

x=2y²  +3

 

now solve for y

 

x-3 = 2y² 

 

(x-3)/2 = y² 

 

sqrt [(x-3)/2 ]= y

 

 

Answer 2

y = 2x² + 3

x = 2y² + 3

x - 3 = 2y²

(x - 3)/2 = y²

√[(x - 3)/2] = y

 

Note while this is the inverse it is not a function.
