Tammy, Chau, and Greg have a total of $78 in their wallets. Tammy has $10 more than Greg. Chau has 2 times what Greg has. How much does each have?

Tammy has $10 more than Greg:

 

T = 10 + G

 

Chau has 2 times of Greg:

 

C = 2G

 

Total amount $78:

 

C+T+G = 78

2G + (10+G) + G = 78

4G + 10 = 78

4G = 68

G = 17

 

So Greg has $17, Chau has $34 and Tammy has $27.
