First you want to find out how much he earned from commissions this month by taking
1945 – 1600 = 345
Then you can take the commissions earned and divide by his commission rate to figure out what the total amount of sales were
345 / 0.55 = 627.27
Meaning that Ryan had sales of $627.27 for the month
