Solve the equation for y to get

 

y = -1/6 x - 1/12

 

The slope is -1/6.  Perpendicular lines have opposite reciprocal slopes.  Therefore, the slope of the new line would need to be 6. 

 

y = 6x + 3 would work and so would any equation where the slope is 6
