When a question relating to this formula is asked, it will most likely give you a value x (five, for example, if it asks about # transplants in 2005) and then YOU SIMPLY PLUG IN 5 INTO THE RIGHT SIDE AND THAT WILL BE THE ANSWER.

 

SO...first, get the question and then do the calculation based on understanding what this information means.
