i bought a truckload of wreaths for 750$ and priced them so I would make a 2$ profit on each one sold. When i sell all but 100 wreaths, i break even. how many wreaths were in the truckload?

w represents the number of wreaths

750/w represents the cost per wreath

(750/w) + 2 represents the selling price

w - 100 represents the number wreaths sold

 

(w - 100)[(750/w) + 2)] = 750
