Nissa and Juancho have $90 together. Nissa has 8 more dollars than Juancho. How much does each have? (I have to set up a matrix and solve) I know N+J=90 and J=N+8

N = J + 8

 

( J + 8) + J = 90

 

 

2J = 82

 

J = 41

 

N = 49

 

 

Juancho has $41 and Nissa has $49.

 

I think the second equation you have is wrong Rachel.
