Operations on Functions

Question

Given n(x)=x²-9

         m(x)=x+3

         p(x)=sqrt(x+1)

 

Use the functions to find:

 

a. (n-m)(-6)

b. (n*p)(0)

c. (p/m)(0)

Answer 1

a. (n-m)(-6)  is  equivalent to n(-6) - m(-6)... = (36-9) - (-6+3)... you finish!

 

b. (n*p)(0) is equivalent to n(0) times p(0) ... = (-9)(1)
