5x - 1 = 2x2 ⇒
2x2 - 5x + 1 = 0
This has the form ax2 + bx + c = 0
a = 2
b = -5
c = 1
The quadratic formula gives solutions:
x = [1/(2a)] [-b ± √(b2 - 4ac)]
There will be two solutions, one with the positive square root, and one with the negative square root. Can you take it from here? Feel free to post a comment if you need more help.
