Help solving please.

Bobby paddle Tuscany in Tranquil Waters for three miles per hour for 2 hours. He then encounters a current in his Direction and paddle current for 1 hour to arrive at his destination. Returning, he paddles Upstream against the current twice as strong for one hour. If he has 9 more miles to go to reach his destination, what is the speed of the current?

Grammar observation: the first 'paddle' should be paddles (this is a conjugation correction). I paddle, you paddle, he or she paddles.

The second instance of 'paddle' should be replaced by 'paddles with the'

Simultaneously with learning mathematics, you should learn to perfect your English so that your writing does not call attention to itself for the wrong reasons. Think of college admission essay, being judged.

That was the exact  wording of the guestion that she had to solve. I wasn't asking for a English lesson just help to answer the question. The teacher should have made sure the wording was correct.
